Start Menu BUTTON not positioning in center of taskbar

Hi Team,

I couldn't see a solution to this anywhere, but I'm using the latest version of Start 11, and there is an option to center the START button, however this isn't working even though it's selected.

I have restarted explorer and restarted my machine with no success.

Any ideas?

I have the same issue although mine is: (using dual screen) my prime monitor's taskbar stays left aligned while only my secondary screen's taskbar center aligns(when using taskbar center aligned option). Though I'm also using this on Windows 10 21H1, not Windows 11~

Are both of you using Stardock Curtains?

There is a known issue with that running which stops it working on the primary monitor.

An update to curtains to fix this is coming.

No. Just Start Menu. Nothing else. I'm using windows 11 (lastest retail update).

Am I misinterpreting the setting? I thought it was to centre the start BUTTON, rather than the entire taskbar (with the start button still being the left most button (taskbar centrered or not)

If I have interpreted the setting correctly, then the problem is that even if the task bar is centered, the start button remains the first icon - and it does it on dual or single monitors.

End of richhale's quote

Sorry you are indeed misinterpreting the setting.

It will always remain the first icon, thats just how Windows 11 works.  The setting in Start11 on Windows 11 is just the OS option which we have a setting in the UI for so people can easily change it.

Ah. That's a shame.

Somehow it's annoying that start is on the left, yet the taskbar is centred.

Perhaps the description of the setting needs to be updated to say "taskbar" rather than "button" ? As when you look at that setting in context with the image above, and icon for the setting - it sort of suggests the button can be centred :(
