I was wondering if you could use a wallpaper moderator...

... because if you wanted someone to do just walls, I think I could manage that for all you admins. About how many do you get in a day? How much time do you spend on just wallpapers? I'd be interested in helping out if you wanted it. It wouldnt even need to be me, but if you could get a couple of designated wall moderators, I'm sure that it would take quite a load off of the submissions that the normal moderators have to check. How does that sound? It was just an idea that I have now thrown before the firing squad.

I'm sure there are a few folks here that wouldn't mind being a 'Wall Moderator'...

It would be important that any moderators would have the qualifications or credentials to pass judgement on others works.

Art Degree?

I don't know that an art degree would necessarily be required...but like I said, some sort of 'Qualifications' or 'Credentials' I would think would be needed

Not to mention...One would need to have some sort of 'Admin' access wouldn't they?

I think Cerebro meant he just wants to be a Wallpaper moderator, not an Admin. Admin's have to deal with more than just accepting wallpapers. Although the credentials part is definately a must. All admins on this site have a strong background with graphic arts. If you moderate my wallpaper, it better be for a reason...not just 'I like it or I don't'. You need an unbiased professional opinion on why you choose to moderate it...wether you tell me that reason or not is irrelevant.

Hus...I understand that he just wants to moderate 'Walls' but wouldn't you need a certain level of access to do that?

Right! I'm not sure that I am qualified for the job, but we have some awesome artists on this site that probably are. The Admin thing might be an issue but could probably be worked around. This is just an idea I had that I though people might like. I'm sure there would be demand for it.

Cerebro, evryone would like to do that... if they needed someone I think they would have asked someone.

Probably someone who has been here from the beginning and with alot of experience in wallpapers himself.

O.K. guys....as far as I'm aware, we have no need for further moderators at this time. But, just so you are aware, if we DO decide we need another one, there are already a few people on a very short list. Also, Moderators are not chosen just for artistic or skinning abilities, they tend to be well rounded individuals who have been around for a while and are well known and stable in the community.

Moderators and admins also have quite a lot to say in the way this site grows and changes, and we are encouraged to voice our opinions on the private message board. So, it's not all about moderating walls.

We now return you to your scheduled message board.............................
