Deskcapes 11 Beta Expired?

Hello everyone. I recently had to install windows 11. Upon having everything set up and putting Deskcapes 11 back on  it said it expired. Does that mean I have to buy another key to get back in the beta? :( I was in the impression that I just had to buy it once and i'll still get to keep using Deskcape 11 even when it exits beta? Beta Expired.

Did you buy a key for DeskScapes11 if not you'll have to buy one .

If you did check your account page for the download https://store.stardock.com/myaccount/products/

Key for 10 doesn't work for 11 .

Thank you for the response. I had bought 11 I uninstalled 11 beta and reinstalled it and put my key back on. And now its working. Weird. But it works now. Thanks. :)

I had the same warning that it had expired, so I purchased the new version only to find after purging the old beta version that windows say I can't run it on my PC?. i am running windows 10  and the beta version ran fine ??

 

Any ideas?

The trial version is good for 30 days then to need to buy which you did .

Hello,

Sorry to hear you are having issues.

You might be blocked by AV or Security Software , check that by closing out of it .

Now, when I try to open it, I get the same "This beta release of Deskscapes has expired" window. I've uninstalled and re-installed a couple of times, and have used the purge utility. I still get the same message. The DreamMaker seems to work fine. I don't see anywhere to apply my license. Can someone help! Thanks!

It sounds like the installer you are using is an old one.

You need to download the latest one from your downloads on the stardock store page.

I had same error (Deskcapes 11 Beta Expired?) and uninstalled the Beta to download the new version .

But I do not have any download link on account and when I go to Deskscapes page it want me to pay for it or for ObjectDesktop. 

So I read support thread where it says :

How can I upgrade from prior versions of DeskScapes

I have bought Object Desktop and it is NOT expire yet but I do not see the 'new release'  "Deskcapes 11"/"Deskcapes 11 Beta"  anywhere as a download ! ???

Am I supposed to use "Object Desktop Manager" for that ?  I do not want that installed ! and the "Deskcapes 11" is not listed in individual downloads of the section of that at "Object Desktop Manager"on account ! ?

I had used features at first link but just tried second link , none of them gave me any Deskscapes 11 key. 

When I bought I do not think that I were properly informed of the distinction between 'update' and 'upgrade' in the one year 'subscription' to 'updates' when one buys the OD.   If that's Stardock policy then I personally are going to be very reluctant to buy OD next time because I only bought this time because Windows 11 were arriving and I expected plenty of 'updates' (read UPGRADES !) to the software.  

I do not need any further explaining or 'white knighting' Stardock position on the matter and will just unsubscribe from the topic !

 

Also I were offered the Object Desktop purchase side by side with the Deskscapes 11 Beta purchase as they still do , creating distinct that you I would get the Deskscapes 11 if buying the Object Desktop.   Further more Stardock is in real trouble because I saved a screenshot of the offer (which I still have on drive to this day)  and I am not going to let go on this one.

So either they give me a Deskscapes 'upgrade' or a refund on my Object Desktop purchase, or else...... 

I will be contacting support immediately !!!

Actually my memory were poorer here than I thought because I didn't even take the side by side offer but only took another offer that appeared *AFTER* I had already clicked the BUY DESKSCAPES 11 Beta button , why I OFCOURSE were given the impression that the upgrades would be included !

I even have a video showing that part of the buy process recorded by a member of Stardock's own support team !

If you had a current active subscription to Object Desktop then DS11 would be included

no extra charge ( Object Desktop is a yearly subscription service ) .

If this is the case then DS11 would be available to download in your My Downloads section 

on your account page .

If there is any further issue here just submit a ticket to support https://stardock.atlassian.net/servicedesk/customer/portal/4

stake your case and wait for a response ( as tickets are answered in the order received.

Only submit 1 Ticket .

Despite my lacking in expressing my self correctly (ought to have read "and it is not expired yet"/"and it has not expired yet") then it clearly mention the subject of having not expired ,

So if what you just wrote above is the case (as was my initial understanding despite not having any Deskscapes 11 upgrade on account) then I can't see why you would tell me that :

You apparently have me all wound up for nothing if your latest answer is true !

Since you sign as "Stardock Community Assistant" I have to believe that what you write is the facts ! , so you really need to get such facts straight the first time , not meaning to be neither rude nor ungrateful for your assistance , just saying !    Now I have to go tell support that it apparently is a misunderstanding !

 

 

 

EDIT ,

I appeared that it was all a misunderstanding depending on me not using the Stardock account  interface properly  (I used right-click open in new tab which is not supported by some operations such as "Object Desktop Manager -
View Individual Downloads")

I had the appropriate downloads and keys which would have shown if I had used left-click....

So , my apology to Stardock for the misunderstanding !
