Remove from this list

I love using the "Remove from this list" to control what is listed in the most used (I, usually, remove apps that I hove on the desktop).

I found that this option is (very) temporary.

Is there a way to turn it to a permanent thing so when I use it the app will not reappear after I use the app or a computer boot (or any other situation?
