I just fired up the game and it occured to me that a "CONTINUE" button on the start menu would be a nice feature, maybe to replace the "EXIT" button as mentioned in one of the dev journals. 

Case :

• Display a CONTINUE button
• Possibly display the current leader, race, and game turn
• On selecting Continue the player immediately returns to where they left off

Benefit :

• Eliminate need to click into the save game menu and find the latest save
• Provides a sense of continuity to seamlessly jump right back in to where the player left off.
