Object Desktop stability/CPU usage.

OK guys, here is the deal... I've been aware of Object Desktop since day one but never actually took a good look at it until a friend at work praised how OD works. I am now considering getting it on my system ([email protected], 1GB or DDR433, Radeon 9700 Pro, CPU and VPU H20 cooled....). My main concern here is the performance tool that this will inflinct on my system. I have no doubts it will run fine, I just don't wanna lose any speed considering that this system runs server apps as well as major gaming and video editing programs.
I installed it on a test system at work and it seems to slow down (slower machine) a bit but mainly revs the CPU activity to the 10% neighborhood in idle which is a little too much for me (not sure how it would perform on my own system but I don't really wanna give it a try until I get some user feedbacks).
Also stability is a very important aspect since I'm already overclocking my rig pretty aggressively.
Anyways, if you guys would be so kind to let me know of your experience with OD (I'm looking at running pretty much everything, from WindowBlinds to DesktopX).
Cheers,
Sam
