Make My Own Cursor

I want to make my own cursor because i think it will be a cool project. But i have no idea where to start looking. I looked at stardock.com and didnt really finde anything about making your own cursor, so i came here to see if you guys could give me some hints and links to sites that can help me. Well anyways thanks peace!

Cursorxp plus is what you need, along with an image editor.

or if you want to create real cursors for which the user does not need third party software you need a cursor editor and (of course) an image editor.
ArtCursors, recommended cursor editor: http://www.aha-soft.com/artcursors/

CursorXP allows you to be more free in form than real cursors, but on the other hand 32x32 pixels are far more challenging.
