Problem Setting Shell Icon Size To 128

Hello folks,
I tried setting my shell icon size to 128, today, using regedit. I was able to successfully change the size of the folder icons and those in the programs list (i.e. the ones to the left of the XP start menu); however, the My Computer/My Documents/Control Panel icons look really choppy. This happens even when I change it to 72, but not when it is set at 64.
Does anyone know why this is happening, and a possible solution? Thank you in advance.
