Visual Studio Taskbar bug

There is a bug in Windows 11, where the taskbar becomes unresponsive when Visual Studio (not code, 2022, maybe other editions too) is open.   This happens in Windows 11 with or without start11.     If you click on an open app it won't switch until you click on an empty space on the taskbar and then on the open app.

This bug has been reported to Microsoft, but as yet they have not fixed it.   I experience this issue on my personal computer as well as my work laptop.   Intel laptop, AMD personal computers.  Completely different hardware.

I was hoping start11 could fix this issue, but it has not.   Any way for start11 to fix this?   Or is this not possible with how start11 is implemented?

If it happens without Start11 then I am afraid it is probably up to Microsoft to fix.

I will take a look myself in case it is an obvious thing though later in the week.

yeah wasnt sure if you were replacing the taskbar in windows 11 or you're just hooking into it.  hoping replacing so could resolve the issue.

Thanks for looking into it.
