All taskbar icons are vanished as soon start11 loads

Uninstall/purge/reinstall did not help

Hi,

I have started a trial period for Start 11 (and Fences too). First time I installed, it was working. I configured around and liked it. Then I installed a Windows component (namely WSL) and after restart the taskbar got empty. Non of my pinned apps nor the running apps were shown on the taskbar, just the start button at the left side. 

I have a laptop with a built in monitor and two external monitors. Special case is that my primary screen is one of my external monitors. BTW, before the first reboot it was not a problem. 

Another note is that I use DisplayFusion for the second and third taskbars. This wasn't a problem either for the first time. 

I have read the forum posts about the start* programs, all of them concluded to uninstall / restart / Purge_StartALL.bat / reinstall cycle. I did it twice but no success. Additionally, during purge, Bitdefender intercepted and was cleaning a threat for minutes when it tried to restart Explorer.  


I would appreciate any help, since I like it very much and would like to buy it. :)

@AzDude, thank you for pointing me to these pages.

I can see that you cannot support DP/Fences4 conflicts.
Basically I have issues with Start11 not Fences. Fences seems to be working well so far. I will continue to test them though. 

I will try the script without DP and BD. thx.

You need to install the 1.21 beta as there was a problem in 1.2 where if you had multiple monitors where the primary monitor was to the right of another monitor and you only show the Windows taskbar on the primary monitor (which is the case with Display Fusion running) then the taskbar was blank for running apps.

Wow Neil, that sounds really promising, I have exactly this configuration, the rightmost external screen is the primary one with the windows toolbar. :) 

Could you help me where to find the beta channel downloads? Can I use it in trial mode?

Okay, I managed to find the info: no I cannot use it without a live license. I have contacted Stardock support.

No success, I was redirected back to this forum.

Could anybody help me how to get the beta version for trial? Is it necessary to buy a licence for trying it?

Yes, beta only available if you have a paid license. You can pay for it and if it not what you want, you can ask for refund.
