Even after reformatting and having only Fences installed, the issue persists.

Sorry to hear you are having issues. Need more information on your system.

  1. Windows 10 or 11? and also need its full version numbers. Please use Winver.exe to get it.
  2. Fences 4 version numbers?

Do you have Windowblinds running? If you do, try change the theme to light theme. If no Windowblinds running. Try looking into your accent Colors. It might be you set accent color too dark. For me, I just let Windows choose accent color automatically from my wallpaper.

I do have Stardock Curtains. It seemed the "Accent color" under "Colors" was selected to "Black". I removed it and changed it from Windows setting to white. Thank you very much.
