Object Bar Help

Please forgive my ignorance....

Ok, I created a graphics bar and an internet bar and populated them with programs and sites. I thought it would be nice to use decent icons on the popup menus, but found that most icon packager packages do not have much in the way of specific programs or sites. So then I started browsing the Object Dock icons and downloaded a bunch (i.e Photoshop, Illustrator, Excel, Word, Ebay, Wincustomize, Stardock program icons, etc...). Most of the better icons are Png files, which do not seem to be supported by icon packager or object bar.

Graphics-wise, I know just enough to be dangerous, not enough to be useful, and I have no experience with png files. Can they be converted to icon files, or to something that object bar will support?

Again, please forgive my ignorance...just trying to learn.

Thank you,

Dave Jr.

If you have ObjectDesktop, there is a program called IconDeveloper available in it. I believe it can convert png into ico format. You might want to try it. I havent done any experimenting with it though so I might be wrong. Good luck!

turn on showing pre-release components in Stardock Central, then you should see it. if that doesnt help, you might have it filtered out. see if there is a button called "more" at the bottom of the list, and if there is click it to see more OD components

Feline, good call. Icon Developer has a batch processing feature that allows you to convert an entire folder of pngs to icon files automatically. Thank you very much!
