Probably a stupid question about ObjectDock

I just started using objectdock and have figured most of it out but am having a problem. I don't want my recycle bin icon on my desktop because it is on the dock, but how do I get it off my desktop? I have right clicked it and there is no delete choice. I also tried dragging it to the recycle bin in the dock but that just add it to it. Is it even possible to remove it? Any help would be great. Thanks in advance.

If this question has been asked before sorry about asking again. My search on objectdock didn't find anything related to this.

Left-Click and drag it off the Bar to anywhere on the desktop

Right click on your desktop, select arrange icons by - uncheck show desktop icons.

Thanks Bones...don't know why I didn't think of that. If you don't mind me asking another question, it's something I just noticed. How do I get my recycle bin sound to play when I empty the one on the dock. It isn't playin. I checked the sounds and there is one on for recycle bin and it worked for the one on the desktop just not for the one on the dock. If you could possibly help, thanks. Sorry to be a nag, I am just starting to learn how to use it.

I use TweakUI for XP...if you're using XP (or 2K), you can get the nifty program here http://www.annoyances.org/exec/software/xppowertoys ...it has other useful tweaking features beside the trash removal. Hope that helps...

edit: oh sorry...I guess there was an easier way around it.

you can change the sounds for different actions by going to your Control Panel > Sounds & Audio Devices

I thought you wanted to remove the Recycle Bin from Object Dock

No Prob Stumpy I figured as much. I did not explain in the best of terms.
As for the suggestions from ama02...I have powertoys and was able to fix the recycle bin problem on the desktop. As for the sound for the recycle bin I have gone into the sounds in the control panel and there is one listed for it just doesn't play when I empty the bin on objectdock. I even tried different sounds but they don't play for the recycle bin. Do we have any more possible suggestions? I will try almost anything at this point, it is driving me nuts the sound doesn't play.

yeah, I noticed no sound of Homer saying DOH! when I empty the recycle bin on my dock.

It is annoying that it doesn't play. Mine sounds like a chipmunk burping, so it's pretty noticeable when it doesn't play. I really have to wonder if it something that happens all the time, some may just not notice it.

I've never seen a setting in OD for sounds, not yet anyway could be wrong, maybe one of the guru's round here can answer

Yes,hopefully one of the guru's will no.

stockholm...we are talking about the sounds you can have play when you do certain things. One example is your startup and exit sounds. The settings for them are in control panel\sounds and audio devices, then click on the sounds tab. You can change a bunch of them. If you are using windows it is there. You may of already known this, was just letting you know what we were talking about.
