I want wiget... I want them to look and act as much like they do in redhat or mandrake for my xp is this possible.

Your question is rather puzzling. I fail to understand what you mean exactly... The concept of Widgets on Linux is completely different that what is meant by widget in Windows, where it could actually mean a different thing depending on the application it's made for. Anyway, as far as I know, in Linux terminology, a widget is nothing more than a standard GUI element, for example a simple scrollbar.

Maybe if you try to be more specific, we could answer you better.

Make a desktop folder called Shortcuts and stuff all the the icons shortcuts laying about on your dktop into it.

You want to right clcik on your desktop, for example, and a customized menu would pop up? There are apps that can help you achieve this, such as Objectbar for example.
Or with Desktop X, you could have an icon on your desktop and when you click it, and customized menu could pop up. That menu could have the look you want, have big icons, no icons, big text, no text, have animation, no animation... anything you want.
