doesnt show win desktop and icons if another fullscreenapp is opened at the same time

if i  opene another fullscreen app like kodi (for example) then win deskop  is not shown anymore if i switch view to desktop. I still see kodi or other fullscreen app in the background and only win task manager is shown. This problem os from the 2018 Now after update i see that the problem is even worse and now even icons in the win desktop are not seen and available if i have open another fullscreen app. how is it possible then after 4 years stardock still didnt make apps compatible with win 10. is there any solution besides demand a refund ?

 

im using fences and deskscapes.

Without this programs desktop is showing normally !

While we wait for someone who can provide help with your issue, can you please provide information about what versions of Fences & Deskscapes (available on the about screen in configuration screens) you are running and what version of Windows. You can get the full number by running winver.exe from the command line.

win10 22h2 (os build 19045.251) - but this is totally irrelevant because this problem is on all versions of window from 2019- first time i use fences and deskscapes till today

 

fences 4.0.7.2

deskscapes 10.03

 

also i'm very disappointed because i see that after yesterday i bought upgrade , stardock didn't literally upgraded deskscapes  from 2019 if im correct. So i bought upgrade for nothing. It is a scam if they sell upgrades even nothing was updated.

Upgrade or renew doesn't matter because i payed for renewing and it was not renewed because stardock didn't update descscapes from 2019. But please don't waste time in this pointless semantics. And if software is not updated in 3 years it tells a lot.  But because i renewed all object desktop software i don't actually use i wouldn't even complain if software would work perfectly and you probably updated some other apps included in object desktop, so it would be all good.

Because i got email from stardock that nobody ! understand nothing what video is showing or my description is telling i will describe again.

1.Win 10 has taskbar

 

2. in taskbar right corner is show desktop button. Also shortcut is Windows Key + D

 

3 Function of show desktop button is to show desktop and this win 10 function works well

 

4.So i have for example internet browser open and i click show desktop button in taskbar or shortcut then win 10 my desktop is shown as it should be.

 

5 Now if i for example run Kodi app in fullscreen mode and click Windows Key + D my desktop is shown

 

6. Now i install stardock fences and desckscapes

 

7. so now after i for example open any internet browser or any other app (that is not fullscreen) after clicking show desktop (or clicking Windows Key + D shortcut) my desktop is still shown as it should be .

 

8 . But now after i open Kodi app in fullscreen mode when i click Windows Key + D (or pressing win button and then show desktop button in right taskbar corner) my desktop does not show fully but only win 10 taskbar is seen and kodi app is still on/over the desktop (instead my desktop wallpaper and icons on my desktop) as you see in the video

 

 

If you still dont understand please describe what dont you understand and i will try to describe even more.

Hello,

I can not reproduce your issue on my system. I am on Win10+Fences+Deskscape running. Full screen media player classic no issue. Full screen youtube video. No issue. Might this be Kodi only issue? Have you tried other applications.

It is fences problem not deskscapes, sorry for that. i reproduced bug on another computer with win11. After installing fences doesn't show desktop with kodi. Kodi without fences doesn't show desktop. You can install kodi and reproduce. Kodi is free. So it is easy to say that is kodi problem, but the fact is the kodi without fences works well- shows desktop, with fences doesn't show desktop. im sure we  could find another apps like kodi. So it would be nice if you would look into issue and make fences kodi (or other full screen app- media player classic doesnt run in fullscreen mode, only video does) compatible.

I still see the issue when I disable Fences. BTW, I have install Kodi and test with it. So I am not sure its Fences issue either. Anyway, I have forward your problem/question to Stardock Support Team for their assistance. Please keep an eye on this thread for any updates. We appreciate your feedback and patience.

And, after reading through some Kodi posting. I realise Kodi has a specific key to toggle between full screen and Windows mode. That shows Kodi do not work like other application while on fullscreen mode.

it is not problem with kodi or specific key toggle. You must uninstall fences and problem gone-period ! Kodi shows desktop without fences! no debate on that, so to no confuse anybody. it works without fences ! this are my current kodi settings, but doesnt matter which settings you have if fullscreen is enabled. And because on multiple computers i tested the problem is the same there really should be no confusion if it is only one computer or system settings problem. I hope programmers will make things compatible.
