WindowBlinds 11 "not installed correctly" on a machine with no ESET AV

Every time I try to apply a style, WindowBlinds complains about not being correctly intalled, and the About screen has the same message.

Here's the message from the About screen, since it also shows the version numbers for everything:

Windows 10 Pro 22H2 (19041.vb_release.191206-1406)
WindowBlinds 11.00 (011 - Windows 10 Edition) - 64 bit OS
WindowBlinds is not installed correctly on this PC.  If you did not reboot after installing WindowBlinds 11 for the first time, then please reboot and try this again.

I DON'T have ESET AV. I've already tried running the Stardock-supplied Purge_WB.bat suggested in a different thread to get rid of any old versions of files and reinstalling, but still get the same message. I've also tried running the installer as an administrator in case it's a permissions issue, but that didn't help.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Do you have an insider or dev build of W11?

Do you have any AV software and did you turn it off during dl an during installation of WB?

Do you have any other GUI modifying/customizing software on your machine?

You probably missed my edit with the software versions. I'm using Windows 10 Pro.

I have Immunet, but all its realtime protections are disabled.

Only Rainmeter. I haven't found anyone reporting them being incompatible, so I haven't bothered testing if that's the culprit yet, but might as well test that too.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. I am not familiar with Immunet, but, try looking into its setting on HIPS or something similar. Try whitelisting Windowblinds on it.

Thanks

Thanks for the answers. I'll have to be away from the machine for a week because of the Christmas, so I'm unable to troubleshoot the issue for a while. Need to be back at it after the holidays.

Have a pleasant Christmas everyone!
