Multiplicity License Activation Issue

I had been using Multiplicity on a older desktop to control a laptop for nearly a year. All was working well.

I recently got a new desktop, which I made primary. I'm able to control the same laptop, not a problem. But I can't activate my license, so I'm forced to use the trial version, which expires soon. When I click on the change license tab, I get a pop-up screen with three options: (1) Enter Product Key; (2) Purchase Product Key; and (3) Continue 30 Day Trial. While clicking either the second or third option works, clicking the first does not. Nothing happens, despite clicking multiple time, and thus I can't active my license.

I don't know if it matters that the pop-up screen is quite small, which I believe is a function of my new 4K monitors.

Thanks for your help!

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. You might need to deactivate old activation before activating on the new system. Use this guide: https://forums.stardock.com/486311/accounts-and-activation-support-faq#deactivateproduct

Thanks for the reply, Basj. Multiplicity is deactivated on my old computer, so that's not the issue. Other ideas? Thanks!

Thanks for the additional instructions. I tried the command prompt option--

Multiplicity 3:

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Stardock\Multiplicity"\SASUpgrade.exe -prodId=2283 -prodName="Multiplicity" -company="Stardock" -ver="3.42" -email="[email protected]" serial="PRODUCTKEYGOESHERE"

Entered my email and serial. No errors, etc. in the command prompt. But when I launched Multiplicity again, it's still the trial version.

I see the Cache.dat and License.sig files in ...ProgramData/Stardock/Multiplicity folder, but the dates/times didn't change to today/when I run the command prompt as they did in the video at the end of the instructions you sent. Do I need to delete these files and then run the command prompt?

Thanks!

It did mentioned in there: "Note: The latter will not work for the trial - only for the paid version of the product."

Did you uninstall the trial version and reinstall again?

Thank you,

Missed that, my bad. I didn't try to uninstall and reinstall the trial again. I'll do that ASAP and let you know if that works.

I did, but this doesn't solve the problem. Since I can't activate it, I keep getting pop-ups to activate my license. But when I click to enter the product key, nothing happens (as before). I then click finish and the pop-up goes away and then appears again the next day. I'd really like to start using Multiplicity again, so hopefully you know how to resolve the issue.

Thanks!
