Empty Space on Start Menu

I have tinkered with the menu settings, I might be missing something. Haven't figured out how to fill out the missing space.............Have it set for twelve, but only 10 show on the left side. I somehow clicked on something and messed up the menu, somehow. Below is a

screenshot...............

Windows 10, version 1903.........Start 11  1.39.1

Not a MAJOR big deal..............but that empty space............

Thanks to any and all suggestions!

The top few are pinned, the others are recently used and they never share a line.  So if you pin two more items they would fill in the gap.

Also, the text names of the programs or apps do not show up on the left side. Dark mode, light mode, makes no difference.

End of 3java3's quote

There is a setting to hide them, looks like you might have it turned on

Okay, I pinned a couple, and it looks better now. Still no text or names for the apps on the left side.

Ok, the text or names are back! Thanks for guiding and assisting my tinkering!   Much appreciated!
