WindowsBlinds vs MS Office 365

I can't find any posts on this topic, perhaps I'm all alone... But...

I can't get skin exceptions to work for any MS Office 365. The applications are always skinned, leading to some colors being off. It's the same on all my 3 Windows 10 PCs.

Any advice from someone?

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Exception won't work on system colors. If the skin/theme change the system colors. It will effect globally. Hence, MS Office application will also effected.

Thank you.

That's confusing. I'm using exceptions on many applications, and they all work, they're not skinned. All except MS Office 365, the only one where set exceptions doesn't work.

Please post screenshots of your Excel/Word please. And point us which area you're having problem. Also let us know which theme you're using while taking the screenshot. Preferably those of free one. So I can try to reproduce it on my system.

Same issue.  Beautiful skins but they render at least Excel spreadsheets and Outlook email unusable.

To the best of my knowledge, the "Exceptions" to being skinned only pertain to the title bar and graphical elements of the skin.

The system palette, (overall color scheme) of the skin is imposed system-wide, and is NOT handled by the exclusion.   It's the main reason I moved away from using WindowBlinds.

For what it's worth though, the Ashampoo Office suite, and LibreOffice suite is not affected by the system color palette, (I'm assuming they impose their own internally), so they don't get all weird with color shifts.

Help Please!!  My outlook email read panel -which I need for work - is unreadable.  I removed the window blind app and have tried multiple ways to reset back to dark for the reading panel but no luck.

How did you remove Windowblinds? Did you set Windowblinds to shift back to Default Windows theme first before uninstall?

After removing the "Object Desktop" I was finally able to recover my desktop so everything is readable with ease again.  I liked some of the Window Blinds 11 skins, but they intruded far beyond the desktop background and application window frames by going deep into my work areas of spreadsheets, documents, and email communications.  Text, numbers, links and such became unreadable due to color clashes and font size changes.

I have used Fences for years and still do, but for me the Object Desktop upgrade is not suitable.  I purchased the upgrade 4/15/2023 and now request a refund.  I felt it prudent not to post my license key in this email which is publicly available, so will likewise contact you through "[email protected]

Sincerely...

That is what you get for using dark theme that change system color. It will effect everything that using system color. I believe Word and Excel use the system color.

What I can suggest is, create a Virtual Machine running another Windows and use that VM to do your MS office work. So you can still use your dark theme and use the VM for all your Office work.
