Howto make a backup of a single modified style

from Stardock Forums

Hi,

I'm using Windowblinds 11 running Windows 10

After i modified one specific style "Primo" to my needs, i would like to make a backup

of it. I located the Style and now i like to know : When i make a backup of the folder 

containing the style, will it still work when i format my PC and make a fresh install of

Windows 10, then install Windowblinds again and put the folder containing my

modified syle back ?

How do you mod that style? Using Skinstudio or just Windowblinds setting?

Hi, 

i read the topic and checked my : C:\Users\Public\Documents\Stardock\WindowBlinds directory and

found the primo.wbo7 file in it. Already copied the complete skindir to my Backupdrive.

The problem at this momemt is that i cannot try if it works, i must format and reinstall my PC first

and that's not necessary at the moment... ;-) 

 

Why is there no simple way

"Backup skins" and "Backup program settings"

in the main program...?

What you can do is do delete that preset and than copy over that backup file back into that position and see if the preset apply properly after that.

I have tried it myself and it work for me. Just remember sometimes you will need to restart explorer.exe, if the theme not apply correctly.

I un-installed windowblinds completely and re-installed it

After putting back the Primo skinfolder the result was not as i hoped, after putting back

all files and folders from the main windowblinds directory that i made a backup of, it worked....

Only problem are the font settings, they changed back to normal system fonts.

Restarting and clearing cache didn't help.
