bootskins: HOW?

hey, i just started using these wonderful programs and i am wondering: how do i create a bootskin, i think i have the hang of logons, so next to tackle are bootskins; but how??? can anyone help? o, and dont use sophisticated vocabulary that i will not comprehend, danke(thanks).

To change font colour it's coded into the site by typing /me, which inserts the user's nick...
