download winzip, winrar,etc. And use the program to archive the bmp into a new zip file.

Don't know why you need to know this though

Use WinZip or a similar compression app that can zip files. XP has that capacity built in also, check the Help Section for zip for info on that.

If you are an Object Desktop subscriber then why not use Object Zip.....Its a delightful little zip facility that comes with your OD package

I haven't gotten around to trying Object Zip although now that you mention it I should since my OD subscription gives it to me. Since you call it "delightful" I'll take that as a recommendation.

i'd say using windows own "send to compressed folder" is the most painless and easiest way to zip something.. thats what I always to before I upload here!
