Can we get a better newsletter?

Can we get a better newsletter?

Is anybody else tired of the mess that is the Wincustomize e-mail Magazine? I want this information (thus I am subscribed to the mailing), but there is so much HTML and CSS crap that is is becoming impossible to read.

Whatever is being used to generate the newsletter doesn't form compatible HTML/CSS so I'm left to hunt through the junk to find the actual content. Not to mention, most of the links just plain don't work. (They either don't show up as links or are not recognized as a clickable link.)

Could this please be cleaned up? Or, at the very least, provide us with an option to receive a text-only mailing?

Thank you.

Go into 'Edit Account' and tick where it says "Yes I want to receive theWinCustomize NewsLetter"

Fuzzy: Thanks, but it's been ticked all along... Still no newsletter. And after this thread I'm really curious about it!

My best guess would be that either you have a spam filter that is seeing it as Spam, or possibly your ISP is blocking it.  Do you get anything from Stardock since you created an account?  Do you get a response from the lookup at: www.stardock.com/support?

You are dead on, Mad Ice. We're on the same page. I do not think Stardock's actions stem from disrespect. I'm trying to alert them to a problem (as a customer, hence my point about my being a customer).

It's true that PMMail's primary focus is not HTML mail, but that's partially my point. Every other newsletter I get by mail gives me the option to get it in plaintext. The current problems viewing this newsletter in PMMail are precisely why. What would I like done about it? One of the following: 1) Give me an option to get the newsletter in plain-text only, 2) use more lowest-common-denominator HTML, or 3) provide the newsletter as an RSS feed. (I'm actually very surprised that Brad hasn't done #3 already.)

The problem is that not all newsletter receivers hang out here on Wincustomize. I didn't know this poll was taking place, so had no way to provide my input. That's kind of like taking a poll about highways but only polling people who drive SUV's.

I am providing my input on the matter now. Apparently, that is bothering some, though.

Despite it's name, the newsletter is not just a WC communique.

No. I would, and do, read a newsletter about what's going on with one of my favorite companies.

Are you intentionally omitting my subscription to ODNT? Or did you miss that part?

yep missed it, and apologize for it...

I won't go back because it would be counter productive and moot at this point, hell at any point. Suffice it to say I read your post and became an ass
