Indeed OD icons should be accepted as packs (3,4,5,6, etc) depending on the application. Exception to the rule will be an icon for a stand alone application and if it's of good quality.

You are right IRB. And some of the dockletts and poofs are amazing.

One thing I have always wondered is why the MB is so long, and there is empty space at the bottom. Maybe the 'Community' section could move under the 'Poll' and one or two more catagories of topdownloads (or even the top 30) extend further down their current spot.. It would balance the page better.

Oh, and with everything, maybe some hard core 'educating' of the uploading situation, some encouraging to get people to make packets when they can.

Someone who will remain lameless told me the reason they dont pack their icons is so its easier to find the specific icon youre looking for. But cant you just put the name of the icon in the description so its just as easily searched for? Correct me if im wrong.

You are right Chi Chi or it can be named in the theme.
Take per example my Microsoft Plus! theme. If anyone types 'Plus!' in the search window, it will display the entire theme.

Or another idea would be to just display the skinner who has recent releases and have an expandable tree for all their releases. That way everybodies happy.

Chi Chi you can achieve the same result by clicking on the artist's name, but I think what it's been sought out here is a solution for the individual uploads that have a tendency to overflow the list and the entire library.

And thats one idea on how to solve it. Instead of displaying the actual release, display the skiners name, and then have an expandable tree for their recent release, nothing that navigates away from the current page. It would keep one skinner from filling up the entire list with their individual icons. Get it?

Another idea would be to limit the recent submissions by date instead of only allowing the 20 most recent submission. There might be more recent submissions, but that way nobody would get bumped off the list by a bunch of OD submissions.

perhaps we could leave it the way it is but start moderating like we do walls, downside equals tons of threads of people bickering "why didn't my icon get accepted, deviant art is better > " lol

If you dont like "art" being moderated, dont submit it, simple as that. Otherwise i think moderation is a very good idea!!!
