Start11 Suggestion - Smaller and more widely spaced out taskbar buttons

The taskbar icons in the prev Windows 11 were prefect combined with Start11. Unfortunately in the new 22H2 Win 11 build, the taskbar looks extremely unpleasant with very large taskbar icons.

Would it be please be possible to reduce the taskbar icons as per the previous Start 11 and Win 11 build, space them out, and allow autohide?

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. The option, should be available for you on Start11 Taskbar setting. Have you tried those?

Thanks

I had to download a 3rd party app called Windhawk in order to get small task bar icons, which are spaced out, just like your picture.

Unfortunately Start11 does not work with this above mod.

I tried changing the settings and the taskbar does NOT go smaller. It is still very big.

Note I have autohide task bar enabled. If I turn it off, it goes to a small size. Why can't I have small taskbar with wide icons AND autohide?

Yes, it can't be autohide. Most probably because new limitation by Windows 11 updates. However to be sure, I have forward your problem/question to Stardock Support Team for their assistance. Please keep an eye on this thread for any updates. We appreciate your feedback and patience.

Quoting OZVIPER, reply 4

This app:

Succesfully allows autohide with small and wide spaced icons.

You may find that breaks regularly.  It literally patches internal memory addresses in explorer relying on debug symbols to find addresses.  If those change too much explorer will crash over and over again or it will stop working.

We do not use debug symbols in Start11 as this is unsupportable.
