Start 11 v1.46 Custom Buttons Broken

Custom start menu buttons do not stay

Hi I am using Start 11 version 1.46 on Windows 11 home build 21H2 and using a custom start menu button icon, a Tron disc from WinCustomize that changes colour depending on the action but as soon as as I click anything or open anything the button resets back to the original windows button and custom buttons no longer work.

I have tried to fix it by reinstalling Start 11, I also constantly reset the icon, it works momentarily and as soon as I close the options down it goes back to the default. I have tried running Start 11 in admin and it still resets to the original button. It has been happening since the last 3-4 updates and happens with the options within Start 11 as well as downloaded icons. They just don't stay.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. But, I can not reproduce your issue. Refer screenshot below.

Would like to suggest, please try uninstall Start11, important to reboot immediately after uninstall finish. Download the latest Start11 version from your account product page (Start11 V1.47 beta). Install it, reboot again, retest and report back.

Hi thanks for that, turns out this was incompatible with the update to Windows 11 Version 22H2. So I fully uninstalled Start 11, installed the huge windows update, I grabbed the 1.47 beta after that was done and restarted pc after installing and it now works as it should. Thank you for letting me know about that I was unaware of the beta.
