Groupy loses Discord window with each Discord update

Groupy 2 is great, but -

Each time Discord updates, Groupy loses the window and I have to manually reattach.

The reason is clear from the startup error window - Groupy  is starting a versioned path to the Discord executable, and as Discord increments the version number the path changes and Groupy is lost.

Is there a way for me to make Groupy start an alias (link, batch file, script, whatever) that is more generic so I don't have to repeatedly fix this?

You would need to edit the groupy file itself to change the link launched to a shortcut file.

Unfortunately Groupy cannot be aware of this behaviour.

This worked for me. Not sure why Stardock claims Groupy can't handle this. I might have filled in some strange values in some fields but I honestly don't know which line does what. Just glad it works.

Code: asp.net
  1. [GroupyEntry1]
  2. OwnerProcess=Discord.exe
  3. APPID=com.squirrel.Discord.Discord
  4. NewTabName=
  5. RunElevated=0
  6. NoPatternMatching=0
  7. CommandLine=C:\Users\aloys\AppData\Local\Discord\Update.exe --processStart Discord.exe
  8. WorkingDirectory=C:\Users\aloys\AppData\Local\Discord
  9. Target=C:\Users\aloys\AppData\Local\Discord\Update.exe
  10. MatchingClass=Chrome_WidgetWin_1
