Typical Xmas here.....snake season.....definitely no snow...

Still got lotsa snow/ice...rain last tue/wed didn't get rid of much of it. Gonna have a white Christmas here (Central NH)

It means, Keila, don't open any presents Jafo sends you.

Keila....snakes are more active in Summer and as it's drier they need to 'travel' to water so you tend to see more of them.

Australia has some of the deadliest varieties so it's important to treat them with respect.  Already there's been 3 or 4 people bitten but on my bike riding I've only had an argument with one so far this season, though was attacked by a 6 foot Brownie last year [fortunately he missed, as Brown snakes rate up there with the deadliest, probably due to their belligerence]...

Jafo did you happen to see when the CrocHunter (Chris ?) went around Australia and was picking up each of the deadlest snakes you have?

He actually climbed nder a house and crawled around until he was face to face with one of those brownies

He's a nut! But he does love nature and does a good job in making up for some of the neglect humans throw at it.

Oh and the time he was out knee deep in muck and water with that Croc was kind odd of him also though he might have had someone with a rifle keeping an eye out hidden fomr the cameras, though I don't think he does that...

They also showed some Spider which is all black and if it does not kill you with a bit it sure makes you wish you would die and et it over with...

It's wild really, Australia is in the present and part of the future of this world and yet so deeply connected to the begining of it all...

I do not think I would be in civilization much if I lived there, all my time and probably the type of work I would do would be spent out and about

I have a bit of info for dialup users. I've been a NetZero (Juno) user for a few years and have been very happy overall. Their prodoct as an ISP provider has improved over the years and Tech Support is conscientious. But today I installed their HighSpeed addon feature. What a difference in speed for ME. I can log onto Wincustomize which is a bit slow - nice Website but I'll be honest a bit slow from screen to screen. Anyhow this HS addon pushed my screen refreshes about 500 to 600 percent. What took me ten minutes to surf thru I can do in one and half minutes. I don't work for them but I'm impressed. I thought of going cable, but not nowww!! Price info for those interested. $9.95 Mo. add $5.00 for HighSpeed. I recommend for those who can afford - a good deal especially if your time is important to you

I use Earthlink Accelerator (same thing as NZHS) Does help...

ahh dsl. I feel kinda bad because now I think dsl is slow. My dorm has a ten meg connection to the net, while my parents house (which is where I am staying over break) has dsl. I feel spoiled

....but I miss my high speed cable modem. much faster.
