Error: wrong error message when something wrong with the account name

Hello,
as I tried to register to the forum, I recieved an error message "Allowed special characters are hyphen, underscore and blank".
First: it didn't highlight the corresponding field.
Second: It had something to do with my username, which was either too short or already taken.
It should say: "Your username is already taken".
