Someone great at repairing digital pics; I am in need of a big favor

Ick....what's the original like?

The original is just bigger. I cropped it is all and resized it down to a picture size. There are 2 other pics that I did not like as much and they have the same problem. I will put them on in case they would be easer to work with.

all 3 are in my profile now. I do of course have the orginals also.

I guess the middle one with the flash bounce is the one you like best ...
Can't promise but maybe some filters in my stash will help.

Well, I thought I would take a try at it real quick. Just tried a couple things. It seems like I or somebody else might need the original pics without them being edit to clean them up. But here are the 3 pics that I edited.
**Note: I don't do this a whole lot and not a profession, I just tried it out**

Now here is the list of problems that I see with my edits and might be because of the crop you did before hand.

1)Had major problems trying to smooth out the faces. Pic 1 seems to have most of the problems that I had with the sharpening.
2)Pic 3 seemed to have a issue with the light.
3)Too tired to think at the moment anymore.

Pic 2 seems like it turned out better then the other two. Just my opinion.

Additional info:

If your able to upload the full pic without edits to a server or you could even e-mail them to me. **I don't have a limit on my mail box ** I could try when I wake up from my couple hour nap with original content

it looks like the pixels per inch wasn't very high. It would take a lot of work to get it to look less grainy. The other option is to follow a path like weaksid and try to get a different look for the picture.

I knew when I posted this that it would pretty much take a miracle but one can hope.
I figured this was the best place to find that miracle.
I do not have a web site to use to give anyone links to the originals so the best I could do would be to email them.
I did learn one thing though. Do not spend only 150.00 on a digital camera. Less frustrating to just throw it to the wind.

Please don't throw your digital camera away. I bought a digital camera for $99US and it works really well. These cameras don't work the same way as the 'point & shoot' cameras. They take some getting used to.

It is only a 2 megapixel model. The defaults included a high resolution among other things. The number of pictures at that resolution was six or seven (don't remember which). The limit was set by the available memory of the camera. It does have an expansion slot that will allow me to increase the memory. When I get the money together I plan to upgrade to 256MB so I can take those high res pictures.

I don't say this to make you or anybody else for that matter angry, madd, or create the desire to slit my throat but reading the 5 pound, 200 page manual will really help you out.

Keep practising, the pictueres will get better and better. You will be surprised at the stuff you turn out.

Very pixellated....looks like poor light combined with 640x480 res [about 1/3 megapixel].

First step is to chuck the camera....aim for a minimum of 3 megapixel [they're cheap] or higher.

Email the originals  if they are direct from camera and not already played with....better to start with the least 'mangled' image possible, as anything in between may have affected them....

My first foray into Digi cams was a Sony Mavica....640x480....records direct to floppy about 20 or 30 images per.....since then I paid less 5 years later for an Olympus C750 4 megapixel.....whose 'best' resolution/quality means ONE image to a 16 meg card....in .tif format [no compression]....and at 2288x1712 in jpg a 256 meg card gets me about 250 images.

The difference between the two is phenomenal.

When you get serious about digital photography [or want to mess with the results with PhP or PSP, etc] you'll 'want' a better camera...

I want at least a 9 megapixel, Or even better a 16 megepixel. but I can't afford that

Mine is only a 1.3 MP resolution. Best I know it was set at highest quality unless someone played with it before i used it that night. I have a 128MB memory card so I do not need to worry about using highest resolution. This is the camera. Don't buy this one.

Keila...that's 4 times higher res than my first...but is now quite a way behind what is available now.

Both my cameras benefited hugely by having 10x Optical [not digital] zoom, enabling quite 'good' results.....always look for that in a 'next' camera...

Mine is a 1MP that I use now. When I bought mine, it was $300. It's a old HP. Still works fine by my standards. Just has like a 3-4 second delay
