Stardock Central/Object Desktop help

When you purchase Object Desktop and get the email with the txt file, the Order ID is not the serial number correct? Everytime I request the serial number (with my Comcast account which I purchased Object Desktop with)it says the serial number will be included but is not (only got the txt file that first time). I tried my hotmail account which I use for this site and that only gives me a serial number for my Wincustomize subscription.

For the love of my life I cannot validate my OD subscription. Today is the fourth day attempting this. Stardock support isn't available until the Jan. 4th and an admin here suggested I email Angela which I have (two days ago) but I guess she won't be around. Any suggestion??

Yes. I put in both email accounts--my hotmail only gives me my Wincustomize serial and with the Comcast it says it is included in the email but there is nothing.

DJ...it works. Try going into 'Edit Account' and cross reference your account to an e-mail addy you used to buy at least one of the proggies.

Does your Comcast account allow HTML?

Gary, I cross referenced and requested the serial again using both accounts and still got the same two emails.

I see you have the CD version, and I wonder if the serial number is supposed to be with the CD. I have the Network Edition and it looks like this in the email
Product Name  : Object Desktop: Network Edition
User Name     : ************
Download      : https://www.stardock.com/***********
Serial Number : ******************************

I made sure I hit 'network edition' when purchasing. This thing is being mailed to me? The first email says:

Product Name : Object Desktop 2002 [CD]
User Name : ******
Email : *****
Serial Number : [Being Shipped from Stardock]

I also just realized it says Obhect Desktop 2002.  I think your order may have been screwed up somehow.  unfortunately, you may have to wait for Angie to get back to work to get this straighten out.

For someone who did order a cd, is there a way to track it? Damn this sucks.

From FAQ:

How can I get the CD and a download?

Go ahead and order the Object Desktop CD version from the webstore. There is a "Special Instructions" field on the order page. Mention here that you wish to download before receiving the CD and we will email you your download and registration information (during business hours).

...seems you're showing up as a CD order...not good.

Are you able to log into WC site?

DJ...try this: install WC Browser (since you have that serial #) or just use SDC and log on to Chat (irc.stardock.com #stardock). You may luck out and get a Stardock personage there that can help.

Are you talking about Wincustomize? Or WC browser? Yes with both. Thank you for both of your help-- it is much appreciated. I will try tomorrow to see if anyone is available.

You need to use the serial number that is on your Object Desktop CD jewel case.  Since you have not registered the CD online yet, you can not look up the serial number, and it is not in our database yet. Just use that number in Stardock Central and you will be all set.

Like I said in the email I just sent, I ordered the 'Network Edition' and am now receiving the CD. Haven't got it yet--I have no idea when this thing will be here and chances are nobody will be home. There is no way to track it?

KarmaGirl is right . I bought the ODNT CD a year ago and if I remember correctly, I had to wait for it to get the Serial off the case, it was never in my email [Being Shipped from Stardock]

How long ago did you buy it. Stardock is showing the two ODNT's:

Object Desktop 2004 [CD]
Product ID: SSD-SDS-W095 Category: Object Desktop
Description: Get all of Object Desktop now and everything created and updated for it for an entire year after!
Price: $49.95

Object Desktop: Network Edition
Product ID: ESD-SDS-W011 Category: Object Desktop
Description: Extension suite of productivity enhancements that allow users to transform Windows to look, feel and function as they want.
Price: $49.95

Essencay♣, I purchased it on the 25th. How long did you have to wait for the CD to arrive?
Just a few days, but your dealing with the Holidays and the USPS . What I don't get is how you ended up with a 2002 ver. when they're selling a 2004 ver.

So I can't track this thing?

DJ - you're in the 3 day delivery lane (MI/PA) no matter who they ship it with...having said that, my guess, since they have been off from the 24th 'till the 2nd, is that, at best, it left today. If they shipped it USPS (which I think they do) then you cannot track it.
