Suggestions for replacement of clock program while using WindowBlinds

I have been using a tablet pc that only has a 1024 x 768 max resolution for a month or so now. I found a program called Alfaclock that puts the month in the taskbar clock area, but when I started it up after installing WindowBlinds, it locks up the computer. I am used to a laptop with a much higher res (1600 x 1200), so I would like something that sits in the taskbar like Alfaclock (or something with minimal desktop space). Does anyone have any ideas?

turn on the normal clock that comes with windows and sits in the systray

nevermind I think it is possible to do that by editing the registry. Let me check how to do it.

nevermind you can't do it editting the registry. You coulc make an object in desktopx that just shows the month in small text and sits somewhere on the desktop.

Haven't used this in years, TClockEx: http://www.rcis.co.za/dale/tclockex/index.htm

But according to the site it doesn't have the transparency option in XP if you're using any skins. So that could look ucky.

AndreasV's calendar docklet shows month day and time,the dock can be set to autohide if you feel it takes up too much room.

seems I remember Gecco Clock or some such from a couple of years ago which is still being developed. have to look up the url if I can find it I wil post it and yes you can skin it

If you have Windows XP, all you need to do is make your taskbar double-sized, then it will display the date and time in full.
