The remakes of Super NES games are always great. I also suggest Sonic Advance and Sonic Advance 2 if you like Sonic the Hedgehog games.

Mario Kart...Mario World...Yoshis Island.. (Yes, I like mario/yoshi)

Zelda is good too...Takes a bit more use of your noggin to figure some of the puzzles out...The harder the better I say.

Advance wars is ok too...Turn-based strategy game.

Who are you buying these games for?

If it's for a post-SNES kid, then you cant go wrong by getting him/her some of the 'oldies'...

I've heard great things about Mario and Luigi Superstar Saga , an RPG related game. All the above mentioned are generally can't miss titles. Otherwise goto pocket.ign.com and check out reviews.
