Inconsistencies in theming WindowBlinds11 Steam edition

Dear reader (and hopefully Stardock staff!),

Yesterday, I decided to give my Windows 10 machine a nice Vista look and bought this program, and I gotta say, with WindowBlinds11 it looks really nice! (especially since UXthemepatcher seems to be well... patched by the latest Windows updates).

Now I've noticed some really weird inconsistencies in the UI. Of course the Metro UI is still there together with the Win10 bullshit, but some menu's that you would expect to have been skinnned, aren't. This is really frustrating.

For example, when saving a paint image, the save menu works like a charm like you can see in the images, but when I want to save an image with Microsoft Edge, it uses the default Windows 10 menu. This also happens when opening Steam (the window that checks for updates is also in a default Win10 style (I couldn't easilly take a screenshot of this)), and with Winaero tweaker I brought back the classic volume slider, but as you can also see in the picture, it fully displays the Win10 UI when opening it.

I tried all sorts of themes, rebooting, re installing but it won't work!

Please Stardock, fix this. You ALMOST have an amazing program here that works flawlessly, it would be so nice if these things are fixed aswell.

 Volume mixer has Win10 UI.

But other parts have Vista UI and even sliders just work.

Edge has a Win10 UI save screen.

Other apps have a Vista save screen.

And like I said, the Steam update checker also has Win10 UI even though it is just a normal window box, but it goes away too fast to take a screenshot of it.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. But, from what I know some of those items in Win11 and Win10 can not be skin by Windowblinds. For example, desktop right click menu background can no longer be skin since Win10 and WB10 and from what I know nothing can be done. However, to be sure, on your questions, I forwarded it to Support for their respond to it. Appreciate your feedback.

Thanks.

Thank you! I'll wait it out. Also since I guess you are Stardock personel you might have an answer to this one, when trying to buy IconPackager for 12 euros I clicked on the button with that price, but it wants me to buy the whole package. I would like to only buy the IconPackager since I already have WindowBlinds and use OpenShell for the start menu and don't need anything else, how can I do this?

For Iconpackager, if you goes to this link what do your see? "https://www.stardock.com/products/iconpackager/download. Refer screenshot below.

And If I press that green button on the left. I get this.

Thank you,

I was able to buy it by looking into the shopping cart after clicking the buy button where the correct price was displayed, but when following those steps you pointed out it didn't (I tried them beforehand).

Update about the problem:

I might also have discovered a bit more about the problem. I was opening task manager with ctrl+shift+esc from the desktop and it appeared in default windows 10 skin while Windows Explorer was shut off, when I right clicked on the taskbar, it got the Vista skin again. This was after I restarted Windows Explorer to apply some icons, so it might be related to if explorer doesnt respond or can't acces the window it won't be skinned like in MS Edge in the file save menu?

I am also noticing it with more windows within Windows itself (mostly the file picker/saver window) depending on the application I'm in (not only Edge but I forgot which one).

Edit: when I press ctrl shift esc long on the desktop it opens taskmgr in Vista style, when I briefly press the shortcut it opens the one with Win10 skin. Maybe windows that load too fast don't get a skin applied?

Edit 2: I found another instance, it also happens when from the settings menu deleting a windows theme (deletion window appears in default Win10 style)
