I would like to know when the game will have the ability to play a custom race in multiplayer or how they will do it myself so that I can play with friends with my own races.

Hello Kilorss!

We are actively working on improving our multiplayer features, but we cannot provide an ETA for the custom races. There is a lot of background work involved for that to work, including some filters to avoid toxic content abuse.
