Solved: interesting quirk: persistent Minimize button

This isn't an actual problem, just an odd thing that happens now and then, but if someone knows how to resolve it, I'd like to know...

I'm using WB 10.89 on Windows 10 Pro 22H2 build 19045.3570

Every now and then, I'll get this odd quirk where the popup button for Minimize or Maximize will stick on the screen, and won't go away (see example linked below).  Hovering the cursor over it doesn't make it go away.  Eventually it goes away on its own, but I haven't found any consistent way of forcing it to clear; I've tried opening another window and positioning it so that the popup button will be right where the sticky button is, but that does not usually work.  Firing up a graphics game will sometimes reset it, but other times I'll have that image just sitting on the screen while I play my game!!  I was playing Cyberpunk 2077 yesterday, and had that image stuck on the screen for over an hour!!

This effect appears to be related to the skin that I'm using, because it doesn't happen with most skins; at the moment, I'm using Plywood by 1MrPaul1 (Pavel Gucalov), which is where the button shown below came from; it has also happened with a couple of other skins, but most of them don't do this.

Has anyone else ever seen this effect?  Any insights into what is going on here?
Is it possible that I could adjust something via Skin Studio to stop it?

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. I just installed Plywood on my Win10 system with WB10 on it. But, I can not reproduce your issue on my system. Since the system is just a VM system I don't use it for long. Any specific steps to follow so I can try it on my system and see the issue? Note, as far as I remember I don't remember seeing this issue before with any other skin that I own

Thanks

Well... sadly, no, there are no steps to reproduce it consistently!!  It *does* seem to happen more frequently with web browsers, but then those are the programs that I use most frequently, so that doesn't tell us much!!  I probably open or restore a browser window, several dozen times per day, and this happens maybe 5 times/day or so!!  What a mystery...

I guess my main hope was that I would stumble across someone else who has also seen this issue, but given the small number of users who cruise through this group these days, I suspect that my odds are slim... <sigh>

You can disable that "Mouseover Glow"(drop down arrow graphic). If you have Skinstudios 10 you should be able to remove it. It just Mouseover glow graphics. It should not effect the skin function.

My guess since not many use the UIS2 frame and UIS2 button with mouseover glow on it, not many skin come with this features. And since Windows keep changing, some old skin part might have weird behavior on current Windows.

Okay, I see that page, but I'm not sure what exactly I should do to 'disable' this function...
Should I just delete the image?  or set Frame Count to 0 ?

I don't actually see a 'disable' operation...

Try this, set the image to "no button glow overlay" for all the buttons have that image attached to it.
