International Subscription Charges

Hi Stardock

You have made me an offer of renewal for $14.99 using the renewal code: ODNT-RENEW-70.

However, when I follow the link to your renewal page the charge is £15.06.

As the current dollar ($) - pound sterling (£) is $1.25 = £1.00, $14.99 should equate to £11.99.

Why are you offering me something for $14.99 then charging me £3.07 more for it when the price is in sterling (i.e. about 25% more)?

It looks like I'm being penalised for living in the UK and buying things in sterling.

Nah. No penalty. Local taxes and fluctuating exchange rates, more likely.  :S

Yes the difference will be exchange rate (nobody gets the mid market rate as thats the average of the buy and sell rates), plus handling fees for non USD from the store provider (FastSpring), plus VAT which will be 20%.  US prices never show sales tax due to each state having their own rates.
