Updated iCandy Junior Icon Pack is now available to you all

https://www.wincustomize.com/skins.asp?library=2&SkinID=1051

What are you guys doing?......judging by the number of downloads in the hour since i put it up i guess you must be eating them instead of putting them on your computer

I have only put the Blue version up at the moment as i want to make sure you are all happy with the temporary "work around" which i have left on the comments of the skin. These have been built with the latest version of Iconpackager bought out this weekend. If anyone spots anything else will they please drop me a line on this thread.

The Yellow version (my favourite) is ready to upload but i am hanging onto it just to make sure everything is OK with the "work around". It should be because i have spent many hours testing and retesting. Also i think the Wincustomize servers might need a bit of a break as well

I will be discussing the "work around" issues with Stardock but i cannot see a very quick fix at this stage but we will see.

Please enjoy them everyone

Great package

The only icon that didn't setup for me was the 'help and support' one. Other than that I had problems with bmp, jpg, tiff....any image file associated with Corel on my computer, which I attribute to Corel and not your package. Corel just won't release control of these files unless I delete the file association in Windows and create a new file association.

The only thing I have to criticize is that it is done with IconPackager 2.49, which is an OD build. People with the standalone version of Icon Packager (2.20) can't use it. Other than that :

thanks guys your feedback is appreciated. I am going to take these issues up with Stardock to see what can be done

The file association matter can be dealt with a reload and then pick the right items and change the icons manually and apply. It just takes a couple of minutes and these are then saved. You will only have to do this once as the icons configuration will remain constant even when you reboot. The only time when you will have to repeat this exercise is when you change to a different icon pack and the want to revert to iCandy junior again.

is it something to do with this smart packaging routine they introduced in their new versions of IconPackager maybe?

Doesn't work on my cpu, but again I don't think it is a problem with your package. I can try to change an icon directly from an icon's property and still Corel won't release it. The icon tab under the properties for it will still show the Corel icon image, but will show the location of the icon I want to display under the "Current Icon". Corel won't even let me restore the icon to the original Windows icon. Whatever Corel did in the registry when I installed it is overriding everything else. Talk about your predatory programs BTW I use Corel Draw 7.0, may not be an issue with more recent versions of it.

The new version of icon packager wouldn't install the pack for me. It would let me change the icons to icandy, but if I changed packs then I wanted to put back icandy I had to execute the ip file downloaded. I got around it by using the save as feature though and made a new pack with the same icons. what was even wierder was if I just tried to install a pack (right now I haven't got one of the new ones to install right ... like icandy it just allows me to change the icons but won't automatically make a pack or a folder in the iconpackager directory) and when ip opens it shows all of the icons, but if I click on the packages icon in the upper left ip gives me an error and quits. wierd. I am sure these problems will go away soon with the next updates.

Right now i am getting really hacked off.........I decided to rework the yellow folder version this morning using the recently released 2.50.081 version of IP. Everything went quite well and i tested the new scheme for a couple of hours and really put it through its paces and it behaved itself better than the Blue version....In fact so well that i thought lets upload it to WC.....So i uploaded it........Just loaded it again and its not even firing up and you don't even get to see a preview of the icons.........Checked all the components and they are all their so something must be amiss with the software again

Admin or Mod..........Please can you go into my skins and delete iCandy JuniorYel please.

This is doing my head in......but i am not going to give in and one way or other you guys are going to get these packages >
