Got offer for Fences 5, will not activate, now annoying popup asking for license

I had installed Fences 4 and bought a subscription.  I then got an email offer for Fences 5.  I clicked and installed.  I tried to put in my license.  It says that it has not been activated and there is a problem connecting to the activation server.  This is so irritating.  I went through something similar when I purchased my subscription.

Sorry to hear you are having issues. Just to confirm, your subscription is while on Fences 4, yes? Have you tried the review activation steps and try deactivate old activation and try activation again? https://forums.stardock.com/486311/accounts-and-activation-support-faq#reviewactivations
