If purchased by another family member, you'll need to Cross-Reference with the email address that person used.

OK...go here https://www.stardock.com/products/sdcentral/ and install SDC. Then go here https://www.stardock.com/support.asp and send for you serial # and download link (both will be sent). You must use the same e-mail that it was bought with.

With in all the confusion, where I tried three times to cross reference my info. And still not coming up with the desired results. Couldn't I have fallen in the cracks with all the server problems from the site? I'm just wondering.. And I'm not looking for any of you who love to "Tounge-lash" People..

Well thanks for letting me talk.. Now, i'll just sit back and watch how many replies this gets, and see how many of you have a heart, and the rest of you who no nothing more then beat some poor schmuck in the ground! No it isn't a crime in the least, but presentation plays a lot into how people respond.

Also there are an influx of those who come onto the message board with nothing other than causing trouble at times and it seems to happen in cycles.

"I need some help (with)" gets a better response than "Stardock sucks and I'll call my laywer"

It also has nothing to do with anyone being smarter than anyone else. This site is made up of people still in grade school and all the way to Scientists. Presentation is key to interacting with others.

Triggering autmoatic responses of defensive nature is a knack that some seem to cherish holding a corner of the market on.

The sales of Stardock products was not at issue at any point that I know of because the sales are run from a different server/service and those records are not in danger of being lost, missed placed or ignored.

Something that you do need to do is:

1. Download SDC
2. Register WIndowBlinds inside of SDC with the origional information used to purchase WB
3. After making sure your WinCustomize Email address is the same as the Windowblinds registration email address, Cross Reference your WB registration with WinCustomize
4. in SDC "Change" the user infor for the registered product to "your" email address and info
5. "Change" WInCustomize User account info as needed to reflect your email address

after that everything should be in order....

well, i'll thank you for being considerate and trying to understand the difficulties the site has had lately. i'm confident the admins will do everything they can to fix you, if it lies on their end.

na don't give up, you can contact KarmaGirl and she will help also from the Stardock side of things I am sure...

Ohhh, something you want to do is make sure you copy and paste the serial number(s) from any emails from Stardock with registration info in them. I've had problems before with typing in the serial and it not taking, dunno if it is white spaces or something I do not see or not, but once I copied and pasted it took everytime.

I came, I saw, and I got... Nada, Nothing. So this is what im going to do.. Screw this one.. I'm going to register again. If this one doesn't work or in the next couple days or so end up in the same place this will be my reply...

There's an old saying which follows. hurt me once, shame on you. Hurt me twice, shame on me... Which means really, Ok. For some reason my previous registeration has been lost or whatever. So are so many things that can happen is beyond my own understanding. So if I pay another $20, and get this, then shame on me.

Since there is nothing registered under the email that you used for WC and you didn't use your real name, without you sending a Stardock employee (such as myself) your information, there is not way that anyone can even look into it.

You have to cross reference to the email address that the purchase was made under.  After you do that, you need to access that email address and agree to it.  If you do not have access to that email, have the person that purchased it for you do it, or have them contact us and change the info to yours.  you can't cross reference unless you can access the registered email address.

If you send me your full name and the account that you are trying to cross reference (include your serial number) I will look into it.  This has nothing to do with the last site issues as this is always how it has worked.

nowayinheck - calm down brother. No one called you a hacker. I am sure if you contact Stardock support they can sort out this mess. If you give it a chance, this site is a great site to be part of. Lots of forgiving souls here. i am one of them.
