Hi, my Windows Blind 11 system tray icon keeps disappearing. It comes back after I clear the icon cache, but when I turn on my computer the next time it has disappeared again.

Sorry to hear you are having issues. Need to know, you on Windows 10 or 11? Also need its full version number. Use Winver.exe to get that number.

I have same Windows 11 version as yours but on mine the tray icons does appear. Which version of Windblinds you have installed? I am at WB v11.02. Any specific steps I can try to make the WB tray icon disappear?

I have WindowBlinds 11.02, you can open WB, go to settings and uncheck show tray icon or go to Settings/ Personalization/ Taskbar/ Other Taskbar icons and turn off the WB enter.

Not sure what you mean by this, I knew those settings. And for me its always on. WB icon always appear on my taskbar tray. What I need from you is that, with both of these setting turned on. What steps you have to take on your system that make the WB icons on your taskbar tray disappear by itself. For example you run specific application? or run some specific game? Gone after system wake up from sleep etc.

When I turn my laptop back on usually the WB icon does not display. It is the only icon I have problems with my FX icon always stays on. I can get it to display if I clear my icon cache and restart explorer. But when I turn off my laptop or restart it the WB icon will not be displayed even though I have all system tray icons set to turn on. Sometimes it is displayed, most of the time it will not be displayed.

I can't reproduce your issue on my system. WB icon still show up on the taskbar tray after I reboot and wake from sleep. Would like to suggest to try purge and reinstall steps as mention here : [Link]. Just make sure to redownload the latest version from your account page. Reboot after the purge. Reinstall and reboot again after the installation. Retest and report back here.

I purged windows blinds and reinstalled it system icon was displayed, but when I restarted my laptop after the installation of WB the icon was not displayed again.

Something is blocking WB from working properly, maybe. Please try cleanboot: https://forums.stardock.com/486023/windowblinds-support-faq#cleanboot
BTW, just to be sure, Windowblinds skin need to be applied for the tray icon to show up in the taskbar tray. If you applied default Windows skin (ie Windowblinds disabled) WB icon will not show up in the taskbar tray.

Thanks for your help. I do not have the time to do a clean boot, instead I just pinned WB to my taskbar. So it really does not matter if the WB system tray icon shows up or not.
