Activation Fences 5 - each time software starts up

asking to activate after each fences start

I have been successfully using Fences 5 for a while now. Last week is started asking me to active each time I start my computer or start the fences app. I enter my key and email and get a message "Thank you! Fences has been successfully activated." ✅ Finish.
no error messages received - but next time I start fences it asks again.

Just downloaded and installed the latest version and same think.

help much appreciated.
