Why would they reject these wallpapers?

Take a look at these wallpapers that I made with photoshop and tell me why they were rejected I would really like to know.
HERE THEY ARE:
http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2003-10/417774/red-lightning.jpg

http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2003-10/417774/matrix.jpg

NOTE: The matrix wallpaper has an exactly 86% quality loss to save space on my account and the redlighting one has an exactly 25% quality loss.

if the links worked it would help

Can't see the second one but the first looks as though it was created in 30 seconds. Looks awful. You'll need to put in a lot more effort to pass moderation.

And stop creating several threads on the same subject, you'll just annoy everyone

This is the standard you should be aiming for https://www.wincustomize.com/skins.asp?searchtext=nuvem&sort=updatedate&order=Descending&library=8

JCS, dasn't matter what the tools of the trade are, check my library and check out my wallpaper 'R.E.D.' it was also done 100% in photoshop and made it trought the real moderation (a LONG time back when they were still a challenge )

If you wish a public discussion you may have one.....the original submissions can be reviewed and critiqued in the public spotlight, though that is rarely the best course of action...

As to 'lot of people'...currently there are 892 members logged in.  Yes, this is a large site....

Matrix one is too common....there are plenty just alike in the library already....though in this case the max res appears to be 800x600 which is simply too small for modern use computers and the huge text is both distracting and poorly executed.

The Lightning one is equally as common a topic as leaping dolphins and about as equally done to death....and perhaps too simplistic to be popular.

As for the third as yet unapproved...When someone spends literally hundreds of dollars on Photoshop, surely it is not just so you can make groovy lens flares.  The proggy is just a 'little' more powerful and capable than that...

well, that sounds fair, and then my awesome wall is rejected because the diffrence between black and white is too big

JHC! Turn the caps lock off and run one thread only! >
As for "I'm only using Photoshop" .... some of the really talented people here (certainly not me!) turn out great work using MS Paint!
G'Day Jafo .... I gather the 'Photographic Section' is hiding in the 'Bootskin' library?

When someone spends literally hundreds of dollars on Photoshop

"IF" they do that Jafo ... "IF" they really do spend the money .... they get a pretty good manual to kick-start the proggie.
I'm just a cynic ...

actually that link fuzzy gave for nuvems work is part 3d and part photoshop, uses a wacom, EXTREMELY tallented artist. Probably my favorite, he kills me with his work. Speaking of which, I've not seen him for a while, where did he disappear to?

horiz0n....yes, Helder's work is something special.  Whenever a person 'claims' his own work is brilliant and peerless I just direct them to works by Nuvem [and others] for the sake of comparison.

Generally you then must have a pretty big head to continue to assert 'brilliance' in the face of such example...

So what happened to Nuvem? did he get a job at ilm or wetaworks or something

he uses pretty colors.

I wonder whom the first person was that considered all CAPS to be "yelling" as yelling no doubt entails using ones voice in a volume louder than that of normal speech. I've observed many people taken aback now-a-days by "loud text" which they cannot even hear.
I do however consider bold and underlining as a means to emphasize certain words when using messaging systems such as this, as that is undoubtedly what they're there for

Do all the wallpapers here consist of graphical images? I appreciate their talent. It is quite brilliant (I couldn't possibly imaging creating something like that!) but my tastes lie in real beauty, images of the world as it really is, so I certainly hope that isn't wincustomizes only standard for wallpapers.

My current wallpaper:

Though because it is webshots, it will probably change by tomorrow because their photos are quite breathtaking and never stop coming!
