You guys are an American company. Why are you using British English in your software?

Because it is correct :)

Where specifically are you seeing it as generally we drop the extra u's etc when on a US install.

A wiseguy, eh?

I just downloaded Start11 (stardock.com to Washington). The word color is misspelled as "colour" all over the place. Even spellcheck in this message says it's wrong! :P

What display language is your OS set to and what location does your computer think it is set to? (these are two different things).

If it says colour then it does not believe you are located in the USA so shows en-gb which would be correct.  My best guess would be your home location is set incorrectly.

Should probably also explain I am British hence my comment on it being correct :)
