Start11 First time user, multiple issues customizing (pics included).

First Issue:

Even with Hide search box turned on, the search box is still there.

Second Issue:

If I add a folder to the start menu it will create this menu that will show what's in the folder when hovering over it. how do I turn this off?

Third Issue:

This one I have partially solved.
When searching for a program such as calculator, then pinning it, it wont show its icon AND will link to a "Applications" folder. only way to properly pin things is to pin the .exe... Unless its a windows app and you can't get to the .exe like snipping tool.

I am super frustrated right now. please let me know if these things can be changed or not. Thank you for any help.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. But, first, why do you need to post with large font size?

Okay on to your issue.

First Issue. I believe those hide search box only available only on Windows 11, Windows Pro and Windows Launcher style. And from what I remember, there is no such option for Windows 7 and Modern style.

Second issue. How do you add that folder? I added a folder and it does not show that arrow.

Third issue. I believe you pinned it wrongly. What you can do is, click on All Programs button. Browse to for example "Calculator" right click on it and "Pin to Start11" should appear. Click on it. This should place Calculator on your Startpanel with correct icon.

Thank you.

Thank you for replying, sorry for the large font.
1st. I will have to try the other styles.
2nd. any folder I pin will always show what's in it when hovering over.
3rd. okay, pinning through the "all programs" list seems to fix it but more annoying compared to searching for something

-thank you for the help.
