Firefox Chrome Open/Save file dialog broken

Exclusion

I have a problem when using the open/save file dialog in Firefox (Latest) and Chrome (Latest), when trying to resize or change directories the whole program was freezing and would take a long time to go back to normal. I have excluded both from skinning which has seemed to fix the problem. Brave and Edge browsers do not seem to have the problem.

It was a real pain when trying to download small files without using Free Download Manager.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. I can't reproduce your issue on my Windows 11 system with Firefox and Windowblinds 11. I tested on Diamond skin. Need to know more on your system.

  1. Windows 10 or 11? Need its full version/build number. Please use Winver.exe
  2. Windowblinds version number.
  3. Is the issue skin specific? or any skin will have the same issue.
  4. Post a video on this issue so I can try to reproduce the issue on my system.

Thanks.

I have a similar issue in Firefox 125.0.1 (64 bit) using Windows 10. I don't use Chrome often enough, but haven't had this happen. And it doesn't happen all the time in FF. Most of the time there's no problem but then there will be the times where you go to save a new downloaded file where it will freeze for 2-3 min. before allowing you to save.

Ditto.
Prolonged Usage of "Save Image As..." I Don't Change The Name Of File Or Browse For Different Folder.

Seemingly Random Freeze on Save Dialog. May Keep Up For Several Times, Or Only Once.

By Freeze I Mean FF Becomes Frozen Until <Save> Becomes Available Again, Or I Can Hit <Enter> And  Do Something Else Until It Gets Saved

Until This Post, I Thought It Was...I Don't Know,

Applying The Default Theme In WB, Problem Gone.

Hyano Revo skin - failed

Thank you for the video. I tested on my system with that same skin "Hyano Revo". Initially I can reproduce the issue, but once I restart explorer.exe. The issue no longer appear. So I am not sure what the issue was. However, I have forwarded your problem/question to Stardock Support Team for their assistance. Please keep an eye on this thread for any updates. We appreciate your feedback and patience.

Hi everyone, and thank you all for the feedback.  I've logged this internally to look at.

End of Antatt2988's quote

Some more specifics might be helpful to pinpoint.  Can you identify which specific WindowBlinds styles were "not OK" for you?  Is it happening with all downloads, or just Firefox and Chrome?  Is it only when downloading from Edge?

Thanks again.
