Problems with Windows 8.1

I'm having problems since I updated Fences to version 3.1.6.1, I have it installed on Windows 8.1, even the previous version was running normally, when I installed this version mentioned above, the desktop started to freeze and the PC was very slow.

Can I go back to an older version?

If I don't have to stop using Fences, I have it installed on 5 machines.

Out of curiosity, why are you on Windows 8.1? Also, to go to an older version of Fences would require you to uninstall the newer version first.

Could you post your computer's specs? CPU, RAM, etc.?

Sorry to hear you are having issues. I tested on my Windows 8.1 with Fences 3.1.6.1. But, it run normally. Would like to suggest to try, uninstall Fences, reboot immediately, re-download latest Fences v3 again. Install it, reboot again. Retest it and report back.

We use Windows 8.1 because some other applications only run on it.

Is there incompatibility of this version with Windows 8.1?

If I uninstall faces, will I lose all the links I currently have to it? Do I have to redo everything?

Uninstall should not remove your saved layout snapshots, but to be sure, you can use this guide to back it up: https://forums.stardock.com/486084/fences-support-faq#backupsnapshots
