Fences 5.81 Not picking up new desktop files

I'm assuming this is Windows 10.

Please elaborate on your issue. Provide the steps to reproduce this issue.

This is  windows 11 with explorer patcher. If I understand correctly if I create a new file on the desktop it should automatically be added to the files and documents fence. When I create a new file it shows up behind the fence. I can only see it when I have fenced displayed and roll up the files and documents fence. Does that help?

Sorry to hear you are having issues. It will not be automatically added to any of your Fences, unless you already setup Fences rules for it. Did you setup the rules first?

You just need to tick on, for example, move all new documents to specific Fence. You just need to tick on "Documents" and you can than set to send all new documents entering your desktop area to a Fence of your choice.

Your welcome. Also as a note, you might also need to set the "All new icons" to specific Fence, so that, any other files/folder that come into your desktop area be send there. This will resolve your issue of having new item under your Fences.
