Object dock question

Well I just downloaded windowblinds, desktop x, object dock ext... (boy are they ram happy, I cant run them all at the same time and I have 500 some megs) Anyway, I was wondering if it where possible to place object dock on all 4 sides of the screen? If so how?

Thankyou

Nope, not possible. I heard you could have two with two different versions of OD--but whoever did it didn't have pretty results.

Of course, you could use ObjectDock and YzDock, but I have no experience doing that. I'm not sure if YzDock will let you have more than one dock and I believe it isn't supported anymore.

No, you can't run more than one dock. If you mean just move the dock around, you can do that on the configuration screen.

I have actually tried to use Obj Dock and Yz dock at the same time and they worked fine. Give it a try...

I have 512megs of RAM, and I have no trouble running those all at once. I've had that and more running in fact..... But beware, some DX themes, and some Docklets will consume more resources than you might want.
Curious as to why you would want 4 docks, if you think they are "ram happy".

Me too...... no probs.

Can't address Object Dock or Yz dock, as I don't use them, but you could make a launch "dock" for one or two sides (if they are adjacent) to launch apps, explorer, folders,or url's, and have some media player controls for winamp, and monitor/access task manager, email, and recycle bin using Sysmetrix.

Exactly what I want.

To make the dock useful for me, it contains a lot of icons...but it's so much better quality when there are only a few. It would be helpful to set it up with Internet Apps on one side and other Apps on another...

But I'm not talented at this stuff at all.

Take a look at this Sysmetrix skin by pinchecl https://www.wincustomize.com/skins.asp?library=28&SkinID=1195 as an example of how Sysmetrix can be used as a dock of sorts. Sysmetrix is also very easy to skin and to modify the configuration of existing skins. It works quite well to launch applications and web pages, and offers many other nice features as well. You can read more about Sysmetrix here: http://www.xymantix.com/sysmetrix/
