Fences don't transfer

My Fences configuration did not transfer to my new computer. Now I have hundreds of folders and files littering my desktop.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Need more information please.

  1. Windows 10 or 11? Also need its full version and OS Build number. Please use Winver.exe
  2. Fences full version number installed.
  3. How exactly you transfer your configuration to the new computer?
  4. Do your old computer and the new one have all the shortcuts in the same directory location?

If by Consultant transferred, you mean, you get someone to do the transfer and that someone not used to Fences, than that might be the issue. What you can do now, if your old backup were transferred properly, try the restore layout backup. If that don't work. You will most probably need to manually redo your Fences layout.
